Here are Friday’s projections from my T Shoe Index:

    Friday

    Connecticut Sun vs Washington Mystics

Speaking of Clark’s “welcome to the W” game, the Connecticut Sun were on the victorious end of that battle and looked extremely good doing so, as Alyssa Thomas became just the second player ever to record a triple double in the opening game of the season. Washington played a competitive game against the league runner-up New York Liberty despite losing Natasha Cloud to Phoenix and Elena Delle Donne opting not to play this season. The Sun sit as 10-point favorites with an Over/Under of 158.5 in this game, and TSI is projecting a 12-point Sun win, with a total of 156.5. Nothing official at this point from me on this game, but as lines move be sure to follow me on X to see if that changes.

    Lean: Sun -10

    Minnesota Lynx vs Seattle Storm

This game is a rematch of the opening night game that saw the Lynx win outright as 7.5-point underdogs in Seattle. Despite that, Seattle is a 2.5-point favorite on the road with an Over/Under of 163.5. Tuesday’s game finished with a 13-point Lynx win and a total of 153, so I’m not surprised to see the line moving in the direction of Tuesday’s results. Although, from a spread perspective, TSI still has Seattle as 3.5-point favorites with a projected total of 158.5. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Seattle bounce back, but I think the total is the play here.

Bet: Under 163.5 (play to 161.5)
